GODS PROMISES

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes,
and in Him are yes and Amen,
to the glory of God through us. 2 Cor. 1:20

Why We Believe the Bible

We believe that the bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claim that their writings are of a divine rather than human in origin. 2 Peter 1:16-21

Salvation
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Eph. 2:8-9

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Rom. 10:9

Baptism
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:16

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. Acts 2:41

And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’Acts 22:16

Repentance
From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”Matt. 3:14

And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

Worship
Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’” Luke 4;8

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.
  John 4:23

Prayer
He said to them, “When you pray, say:“‘Father, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come. Luke 11:2

And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1

Communion
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” Matt. 6:26-29

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”Acts 2:42

Baptism of the Holy Spirit
If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
 Acts 18:1

I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Matt. 3:11

Fasting
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”Acts 13:2

Healing
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. Isa. 53:5

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security. Jer.33:6

Peace
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”John 16:33

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isa. 26:3

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Col. 3:15

Faith
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Heb. 11:1

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Heb. 11:6

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Cor. 5:7

Gifts of the Holy Spirit
All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. 1 Cor.12:11

I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.

1 Cor. 1:7

Service
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:1 Pet. 4:10

For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.He. 6:10

Satan
Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 2 cor. 4:4

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” John 10:10.

Eternal Damnation
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” REv. 21:8

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.Matt. 25:41
